Ultrasound capsules
Ulnar nerve block
Analgesic coverage

My favorite position
Ulnar Block - Key Points
Volume of anesthetic required to complete the block: 6-8 mL .
The goal is to apply the anesthetic so that it covers the nerve 66-75%. Performing a "donut" is not necessary and increases the risk of vascular or nerve punctures. Generally, as soon as you are in the right space, you can apply your local anesthetic.
Perform the block on the proximal forearm where the artery and nerve are separated. To identify the perfect location, simply identify the ulnar artery distally and follow it proximally. Gradually, you will be able to identify the ulnar nerve, then it will separate from the artery. This is the very safe location where you can perform your block!
Too distal -
Art and nerve glued together

1/3 proximal -
Art and nerve separated!
